Challenge

Over the years, I've noticed the decrease of paper holiday cards. E-cards and e-mails tend to be the messenger to let our friends/family know we are thinking of them. However, with a bit of extra care and time, it's possible to brighten someone's day by sending them a card in regular mail. With overflowing bills and junk mail, how nice is it to get a handmade card?

Solution

Living in sunny California, I thought it would be appropriate to use elements from beautiful local scenery and add a bit of whimsical charm with a custom illustration of a seahorse, hand-glued silver seashell, and give it some texture with splattered paint. The results were worth the time, and I loved being able to combine digital art with hand crafts.
