Challenge

Every year I like to give myself a new design challenge for my printed holiday cards. The tradition continued in 2018 and I was inspired to create custom lettering to sprinkle a little bit of joy in mailboxes of friends, family, and colleagues.

Solution

This solution was inspired by my love of nature and how walking through a garden or hiking through the hills always uplifts my spirits. I decided to intertwine the nature theme with the word joy in hopes of lifting spirits during the holidays. The color palette was inspired by the livelihood of nature as opposed to typical cool colors associated with winter.
